A HOMETOWN LEGACY

As life-long residents of Falls Church, we are so proud to bring this new, community-centered development project to the City that we love.

Over a decade ago, as part of the growth and expansion of our family business – Quinn’s Auction Galleries – we purchased two of the three vacant buildings in the small office park on the S. Washington corridor. Our family purchased these buildings with the vision of one day turning them into an exceptional, mixed-use, community-centered project that would advance the City’s financial, social, and walkable attributes.

Over the years, as we have grown older, our vision has expanded to include not only vibrant retail, restaurant, and community gathering spaces, but also high-quality senior housing and Class-A medical office space. Our hope is that this project will support not only our personal needs as we age, but also the ever-growing needs of our City’s largest and fastest growing demographic group – those of us who are 55 and older.

To ensure this project will offer the highest quality senior living and care possible, we have strategically partnered with some of our region’s most well-known and well-respected senior housing professionals, Andrew Teeters and John Degen. To encourage and catalyze thoughtful, community-centered development that will continue to advance our hometown, we have intentionally worked with our architects to envision a modern, mixed-use building and beautiful new public park that seamlessly connects and improves walkability to the City’s downtown area.

We have watched Falls Church grow from a rural community (Broad Street was a dirt road when Cathy moved here in 1948!) to a thriving municipality. We feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to raise our family, grow our business, and spend our lives in Falls Church. We are honored to be able to give back and leave a legacy with the City that has given us so much.

Sincerely,

Paul Quinn

Project Overview

This new 10-story, 115 tall, LEED Gold mixed use building will include 233 units of senior housing, Class A restaurant, retail, medical office, and nonprofit office/museum space, as well as a spacious rooftop lounge, ample exterior terraces, three levels of parking, and more than 50% publicly-available open space, including a new public park and green space.

A DEDICATION TO SENIORS

With more than 40 years of combined experience in senior living development and operations, we are honored to be partnering with the Quinn family to bring this community-centered project to our home region.

Chesapeake Caregivers Management specializes in the development and management of senior housing communities in the Mid-Atlantic region. We built this company with the mission of providing exceptional living environments and care for our region’s ever-growing population of senior citizens.

Two years ago, as we were exploring potential senior housing development sites in Falls Church, City staff introduced us to the Quinn family. Through our conversations, we quickly realized that we shared a vision of building a beautiful, community-centered senior housing residence to serve the ever growing, and currently under-served needs of this unique population today.

As it stands today, the City of Falls Church does not have a rental independent living housing option for its senior residents.  With the leading edge of the baby boomers turning 79, the pent-up demand and demographics to support a senior housing residence in the City is staggering.

This joint venture between Chesapeake Caregivers Management and the Quinn Family is an opportunity to provide independent living, assisted living, and memory care residences in a mixed-use setting. This exceptional development will incorporate senior housing with a mix of commercial uses – medical office, retail, and restaurant –  that will serve building residents as well as the broader Falls Church community. This partnership is creating an authentic, multi-generational experience and we are eager to bring our experience and expertise to this exciting, community-centered vision and project!
